Peter is currently a Ph.D. Student in Nutritional Oncology at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He has a passion for helping people fulfill their academic dreams by inspiring and providing guidance on how to come to Canada for Bachelors, Post Graduate Diploma, Masters, and Ph.D.
He obtained his Masters degree in Biochemistry (Distinction) at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, through the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship. Prior to coming to Canada, He completed his undergraduate Program in Biochemistry (First Class Hons) at Ambrose Alli University, Edo State, Nigeria. He received over $125,000 in awards, funding, and scholarship during his Masters and Ph.D. program.
Ngwube Stella Ginikachukwu is the founder of the Student’s Safe Space, an online resource community for young undergraduate and graduate students. Stella graduated from the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike where she studied Microbiology (First class honors).
Being an ardent believer of community development, she went on to initiate and execute several community projects during her service year while as a serving youth corper. This opened up opportunities for her to work with Non governmental organizations like Haske water aid and empowerment foundation such that by the end of her service year, she was awarded the prestigious NYSC State honors award. With the goal to further her education, she applied and was awarded the prestigious NAWA scholarship in Poland where she is currently studying Biotechnology at the Warsaw University of Technology.
Ikenna is a young passionate researcher and lecturer in the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering at the University of Nigeria. He graduated top of his class in 2015 with a First Class Honours. Ikenna has obtained numerous scholarships and paid visits, including the Commonwealth Scholarship in the UK, where he did his master’s at the University of Portsmouth; Erasmus+ Credit Mobility to the University of Valladolid in Spain, where he visited the Higher Technical School of Agricultural and Forest Engineering. He currently works as a Research Assistant in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Kansas State University, United States of America, focusing on crop adaptation techniques using models and environmental conservation under present and future climate change.
An Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Marine Science, Faculty of Science, University of Lagos, Miss Brakemi Egbedi, made the list of 254 winners of the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship.
The Irish Research Council Scholarship programme is Ireland’s most prestigious award for researchers who demonstrate world-class potential as future research leaders.
Miss Egbedi who is on a Study leave at the Waterford Institute of Technology clinched her scholarship award as the only young African female STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Scientist in the Department of Science, Waterford Institute of Technology to bag the award for the year 2021.
The €28m (twenty-eight million euro) funding courtesy of the Government of Ireland through the Irish Research Council (IRC) for the next generation of researchers went the way of 330 beneficiaries in total i.e. 254 Postgraduate scholarships and 76 Postdoctoral Fellowships.
